Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) released the following statement after voting to confirm Andrew Wheeler to be the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA):

"Under Andrew Wheeler's leadership, the EPA has been rightly focused on addressing PFAS water contamination in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. I am confident that with Mr. Wheeler confirmed, the EPA will advance policies protecting the environment without needlessly hindering economic growth. I look forward to working with Administrator Wheeler to grow our state's burgeoning energy sector, which provides good-paying jobs to thousands of Pennsylvanians."
