Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) released the following statement on this weekend's violent terror attacks across the country.
"Over the weekend, we had multiple acts of terror take place across the country: bombings in New Jersey and New York, and a stabbing spree in Minnesota for which ISIS has claimed responsibility. It is truly amazing that no one was killed, although some of the victims remain in the hospital. I want to thank all those in law enforcement and our first responders for their efforts to keep us safe in the face of these attacks, especially Jason Falconer, the off duty police officer who took down the knife attacker at the Minnesota mall. Terrorism unfortunately remains a serious threat, and we need to step up our efforts to protect the American people. We cannot allow these recurring terrorist attacks to become the new normal."
