– U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) today announced a $21 million federal grant
to fund major improvements along Pennsylvania Route 61.

the economic development of Schuylkill County, but it also provides a crucial
link between the rural communities that surround it and access to critical

Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant funds will be used to
reconstruct Pennsylvania Route 61 to provide safe and reliable travel to
support the growing commerce in Schuylkill County. Senator Toomey wrote a
letter supporting the application in February.
