Washington, D.C. - Sen. Toomey (R-Pa.) issued the following statement on the Supreme Court's 7-2 decision in Trinity Lutheran Church of Columbia, Inc. v. Comer:
"I was extremely pleased to see the Supreme Court affirm the right of all persons to be treated equally, regardless of their religious beliefs. The decision in Trinity Lutheran is a great victory for religious liberty and for school children across America. States may no longer single out religious schools and the children who wish to attend them for unequal funding and treatment."
