FEDERAL GRANT INFO

The federal government allocates funds to federal agencies for grant and loan programs. The information below is provided to assist you in determining whether you are eligible to apply for a federal grant, and if so, the steps you need to take to properly register with the federal government and apply for grants. Finally, once you have registered and are ready to apply, our Grants Department is able to assist with research and letters of support for your organization.

Private foundations can be a great alternative when federal funding is not an option for you. This information is provided as a resource and does not constitute an endorsement of these organizations.

GRANT RESEARCH

If you or your organization, business, or school is seeking federal funding, but is unsure of where to start, our Grants Department is happy to assist you with grant research. Please download our Grant Research Request Form. This release form will allow my office to discuss your project narrative, and a working budget, with various federal agencies in order to put you in touch with the right agencies or foundations that may be able to help fund your project. Please return your completed form to the following address:

REQUESTING A LETTER OF SUPPORT FROM SENATOR TOOMEY

Consistent with Senate Ethics Rules, our office is pleased to be able to provide support letters for Pennsylvanians applying for certain competitive federal grants. However, we are unable to support applications for grants that are provided by non-federal agencies, such as nongovernmental organizations or state governments.

If you would like to request a letter of support for an application to a competitive federal grant program, please submit the completed form below and our Grants Coordinator will contact you regarding your request. Please allow two weeks’ notice prior to the application deadline for all requests for letters of support.
