Toomey, Smucker to Host Virtual Discussion on Safely Restarting Pennsylvania’s Economy
Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee Subcommittee on Health Care, and U.S. Congressman Lloyd Smucker (R-Pa. 11th) will convene a virtual panel discussion on the issue of safely reopening Pennsylvania's economy TODAY, Thursday, May 14th, at 10:00 AM.
In late April, Senator Toomey unveiled the #PAStartsUpSafely framework for how Pennsylvania could begin re-opening its economy. Last week, Senator Toomey hosted a virtual roundtable with world-renowned public health experts and economists to discuss best practices for re-opening the economy, including the need to continue ramp up testing and monitor hospital capacity as economic activity resumes. You can watch that roundtable here.
The public and members of the media will be able to stream tomorrow's roundtable via Senator Toomey's YouTube page.
