Senator Toomey Issues Statement on Fallen Pennsylvania Soldier

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) issued the following statement regarding the death of United States Army Sergeant Jason M. McClary of Export, Westmorland County:

"Army Sergeant Jason McClary was a patriot who gave his life serving our country in Afghanistan. Sergeant McClary's death serves as a sobering reminder of the sacrifice members of our armed services and their families make every day to keep us safe here at home. Kris and I extend our heartfelt condolences to Jason's wife, sons, and all those who loved him."

Sergeant McClary died December 2, 2018 from injuries sustained on November 27th when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan. He was deployed in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel.
