Toomey Statement on Budget Resolution

Washington D.C.- Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) issued the following statement regarding the Senate Budget Committee's Fiscal Year 2018 Budget Resolution:
"The Senate Budget Committee's budget resolution for the 2018 fiscal year gives Congress the tools needed to enact pro-growth tax reform. I am pleased that the Committee's budget includes my agreement with Senator Corker to allow for up to a $1.5 trillion tax reduction, as scored on a static basis compared to current law.
"This statically-scored tax cut gives the Finance Committee the headroom needed to write a tax plan that creates incentives encouraging the expansion of the productive capacity of the American economy. Done properly, pro-growth tax reform will generate sustainable growth, higher wages, a better standard of living, and ultimately result in reduced federal budget deficits."
